Middlebury, Vt. — In honor of World Bee Day 2024, Bee’s Wrap will sponsor “Wrap the Memories,” a family-friendly event at the Suddabee’s Honey farm in Morrisville, Vermont, on Saturday, May 18. This all-day event with activities for all ages features lunch from the local Apple Tree Natural Foods Market and will benefit the Vermont Beekeepers’ Association and the National Wildlife Federation’s Northeast Regional Center, which oversees Vermont’s wildlife.

Bee’s Wrap is a beeswax-based food storage brand in Vermont that invites families to gather together in nature and to learn more about beekeeping and sustainable lifestyles. Cameron Smith, Bee’s Wrap’s events manager, said, “Bee’s Wrap is a family brand used by parents to preserve the planet for their kids. With this event, we want to celebrate bees while helping families to make memories and benefiting local organizations that serve the environment.”

The “Wrap the Memories” event will feature 45-minute tours of the Suddabee’s Honey farm from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. During these tours, people of all ages can learn about beekeeping, the honey-bottling process and how pollinators (such as bees) contribute to the environment. At 10:30 a.m. and 2 p.m., there will be two “Adventures with Ranger Rick” educational sessions from the National Wildlife Federation tailored for children aged 2-11 that focus on encouraging an environmentally friendly attitude. While children engage in these sessions, other attendees can engage in a hands-on training from Bee’s Wrap about easy ways to use its reusable, beeswax-based wraps throughout their everyday adventures.

Bee’s Wrap will offer a hands-on training during “Wrap the Memories” on May 18. Bee’s Wrap representatives will show easy ways to use Bee’s Wrap’s eco-friendly, beeswax-based food wraps.

Event tickets are $10 for children aged 2-17 and $15 for adults. Children under 2 can attend the event for free. The tickets can be purchased online, and 50% of all proceeds will go to the Vermont Beekeepers’ Association and the National Wildlife Federation. Attendees who purchase tickets before May 1 will receive a 5% discount on organic lunch options from the Apple Tree Natural Foods Market, which will be served between 12-2 p.m. using Bee’s Wrap. All attendees will be entered into a raffle to win a free Bee’s Wrap Lunch Pack and a woven basket, so they can enjoy eco-friendly picnics after the event.

On behalf of the Vermont Beekeepers’ Association, members Harold and Kathleen Ross will be tabling throughout the event. Harold Ross said, “We are excited to provide education about beekeeping to our local community at ‘Wrap the Memories.’ All of us—our association, Suddabee’s, Bee’s Wrap, Apple Tree and the NWF—are passionate about the environment and bees, and we can’t wait to share our passion with local families.”
