DEI: Social Media and Public Statement

During the 2020-2021 school year, I served as the director of media for a student-led Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Task Force (recently renamed the Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging Committee) of the Undergraduate Business Council at the University of Kansas School of Business.

In this role, I:

• Created social media content for Instagram informing student organizations and individuals about DEI resources and events

• Managed the DEI website and a shared document that served as a student career opportunities database

• Co-authored a professional statement on behalf of the Undergraduate Business Council regarding acts of violence that occurred against Asian American and Pacific Islander communities during the time I was a leader on the committee

Some examples of my work are shown here:

I am no longer working on the Instagram page or web page for this committee. However, I continued to serve on the committee during the 2021-2022 school year and am still very passionate about doing my part to ensure that my academic community prioritizes DEIB efforts.
